Emo - - - My thoughts about it.

Emo had been the talk of the town since last year.
Up until now. And still, everyone is still puzzled by its thought. So, I conducted my own post.

What is Emo?

I've searched in the internet and this is what I got.

When you are referring to someone has being emo, you are usually are stating that they are sensitive, or have an emotional personality. Emo truly is a type of music that started in the eighties and is rapidly moving back in its popularity. It's a sub genre of punk music which has grown to be more popular then punk it's self. Each and every day more and more emo bands are coming out. However, emo most commonly is referred to as a type of fashion.

What does emo mean to you?

Most people’s common perception of emo is someone who is very emotional. Some people just consider emo to be a sense of style.

Emo hair becoming Very Popular with Emo Kids

Emo hair has sharp edges and shapes. It does not always have bangs, but it usually does have some chunky sections twisted or pulled in a direction that conflicts with the rest of the hair. Girls and guys have emo styles of hair, and they are pretty much the same. Girls might have longer hair than guys, but they usually do not have hair past their shoulders.

• The common male emo haircut is a long bangs covering the eyes
• Emo fashion has branched off as a type of punk fashion that is a little bit more calm and dull

EMO LIE: Being Emo will get you girls because girls like sensitive guys and there is nobody more sensitive than an emo guy.

REASON IT IS OBVIOUSLY WRONG: Once, my friend and I were both in the general area of this girl. I was sort of ignoring her, and he was being nice and a good listener. Then, I said, “F*ck you, Insert Name Of Girl!” She immediately tried to become all adorable at me to win my favor. Then we made fun of her. This is a completely true story. Girls like assholes. Everybody knows that – even emo guys. In fact, it’s the number one thing emo guys cry about. Also, there are eight hundred bajillion emo guys for every fifth of an emo girl, and the few emo girls who actually exist don't associate with emo guys, because if they were in a good relationship they wouldn't be able to cry constantly, and thus they would cease to be emo.

Really, emo is best defined like this - To qualify to be emo, you are required to cry all the time, be in terrible physical condition, look like crap, and be hated by everyone. What are the benefits to being emo? You get to be sad and alone, look like crap, and be hated by everyone. Do the math - being emo is totally not worth it, and by totally not worth it I mean it has no benefits because it sucks.

Ookay. Based upon information, emo is not really a fashion statement, which, all of us thought it would be. It is a type of music.
I’ve even heard that emo music is a lot like ballad, just twirked the name a bit.
Kids these days often refers emo as someone whose sensitive, (I even encountered a picture in the net that says “Emo is just an excuse for guys to act like girls”) and those who cries and tends to be gloomy all the time. (This is especially for the guys)

There were even emo suicidals that takes emo to the next level.
They are the ones using blades and try to cut their wrists while listening to sad music or something.

They say it’s an expression. Expression of what? I don’t really understand what goes through their complicated minds. Heck, kaya daming may ayaw sa kanila. They’re so “emotional” and weak.

In terms of fashion, emo is usually something in black and white, black and pink, red and black, may it be stripes or checkered.
The main accessory there is a wide black rimmed glasses, studded belt, and old shoes particularly converse or chucks.
And of course, the ever famous skinny jeans that’s now both for men and women.

I don’t know how wild and big these may get but for now, let’s honor it.
After all, it’s the trend of the season.
How long it may last, we don’t know.
Let’s just see how our creative minds can get more creative. =)
