Chapter 22: A Picture Paints a Thousand Words

I realized it was already ten in the morning when I woke up. My head was a little heavy. I was having a bad headache.

Maid: Good morning, ma’am. A guy named Galvin called for about ten times since last night.
Okay, thank you.

Galvin was that concerned for me. He’s a great guy. After I took my late breakfast, I proceeded to my room. I didn’t want to go to school today, I, simply am not in the mood.

I find myself standing at Harris’ room. What am I doing here? Something inside me wants to go inside this room. I knocked. Then I opened the doorknob. Harris wasn’t there. I was going to leave the room, when a picture caught my eye.

I edged closer and picked it up. It showed a wavy-haired girl with deep brown eyes. She has an angelic smile that lighted up her whole face. She was pretty, no doubt about it. Then it struck me. She was the girl. The girl who was with Harris last night at the movies!
